Chapter 1. Composite Terahertz Low Pass Filters

We supply terahertz low pass filters intended to transmit terahertz radiation and block shorter wavelengths. The first group includes filters made from various materials set in  holder with a fit ring. Operation principle of the filters is based on redistribution of radiation by means of dispersion, reflection, scattering, diffusion, diffraction and interference.

Dimensions and shapes
Round filters with clear aperture/outer diameter of 24/31 mm, 35/44 mm and 47/60 mm are available from stock.

Chapter 2. Ceramic Plate Terahertz Low Pass Filters
The second group of the terahertz low pass filters developed by Tydex includes a line of units comprised of monolithic plates of various ceramic materials. These filters can be used with or without holders. The cutting frequency of these plates is defined at transmittance level of 1%. The filter designation includes the corresponding frequency in THz.
Maximum dimensions of terahertz low pass filters can be specified on request. Some filters can withstand extreme temperatures. For example, the filter designated LPFK20.9 can operate at extremely low temperatures, making possible to use it in nitrogen and helium cryostats, as well as in space.
